Where Memories Live On

Larsen Grave

Our mission is to preseve the history of those who have been laid to rest in our cemetery. We encourage families and friends to share their memories of their loved ones – as it also offers a historic glimpse into the time in which they lived.

Graves

In Rememberance

Historical stories have been contributed by Cindy McAnally Webb – sourced from her postings to Oakdale Citizens Cemetery Facebook page.

Charles Tulloch

Charles Tulloch (1854-1924)

Charles was born in Knight’s Ferry California in 1854. He was the owner and operator of the old flour mill in Knight’s Ferry where he constructed  a diversion dam and canals along the Stanislaus River to transport water to the mill.

Henry Langworthy

Henry Langworthy  (1826-1869)

He was a man of influence, wealth and vision. About 3 miles west of Oakdale, sitting on the bluff of the Stanislaus river, is Langworth road. Here a beautiful monument stands that tells the story of a once bustling town.

The caring personnel at Oakdale Citizen’s Cemetery work hard to provide well-maintained grounds and offer services to meet the needs of every family while commemorating the lives of their loved ones.

The professional, devoted staff really help to take away a lot of the guesswork and apprehension that comes with burying a loved one. I can’t thank the staff of Oakdale Citizens Cemetery enough for their help.

Board of Trustees

Our board consists of a group of five Oakdale area residents who are committed to honoring the town as much as the families of those who have been laid to rest at   Oakdale Citizens Cemetery.
